Rikomagic RKM MK25 Amlogic S922X Hexa-Core TV Box Review

Rikomagic RKM MK25 TV Box Review

For reasons on knowing to me the RKM MK25 did not make its debut as the other S922X models did. I purchased this model myself because I just had to see how is it that this hexa core TV box wasn’t recommended to me or wasn’t feature in the popular Chinese retail stores and is mostly available from a few sellers on AliExpress. After completing my review I came to a conclusion that the reason it wasn’t could have been a firmware issue that they couldn’t iron out the bugs fast enough. During my review of the box performed exceptionally well and it was quite noticeable that is operating temperature remained low around 55°C due to the fact that it’s entire body is made of a metal alloy and acts as a large heatsink for its CPU. I am not disappointed with this model and it’s performance ranks high among similar models however, I wish they had more time to work on some more improvements in this firmware. Whether we’ll see anymore updates for this box only time will tell.

RKM MK25 Pros and Cons

Final thoughts

The RKM MK25 TV box is what I describe as the dark horse of TV boxes. It has such great hardware and performance yet was never in the mainstream Chinese retail stores or Amazon.
It plays 4K videos really well and played 3D Android games without overheating. The only thing missing is Vulkan support.
