Mecool KM7 Android 11 TV OS Review
So we have seen Android 11 on some recent TV boxes, but we haven’t seen the Mecool KM7 that run’s on the latest Android 11 TV OS version. The latest Mecool KM7 TV Box is one such model that the runs on the latest Android 11 TV OS version on 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage on a CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz. The Mecool KM7 is also Google certified to play premium movie services in HD and 4K however, with much anticipation we are disappointed that the box does not have Netflix ESN certification. All of the services play in HD and 4K.
But all is not lost as you can still install and run a modified version and get HD. The performance of this box is great and you get all of the features of a fully Google certified operating system such as built-in Chromecast and Google assistant, and to work without it comes with a Bluetooth wireless voice remote. And to make things even better this box as AV1 decoding. The only issue I had with this box was that it cannot play Dolby Atmos and a couple other formats but you do get DTS.

So the Mecool KM7 continues along the line of there previous models with good hardware, Google certification, but not Netflix ESN certification.
It’s 4K HDR and AV1 video playback is really good, and it has great graphics rendering performance.

Hello, big fan of your content.
In your primary description of this product, you made a slight mistake in the wording
“The only issue I had with this box was that it >can< play Dolby Atmos and a couple other formats but you do get DTS."
It should say "that it can't play Dolby Atmos", as it could appear to be quite misleading if users don't acknowledge the fact that you were writing a negative feature.
Feel free to copy and paste this edited line over the current
"To make things even better, this box has AV1 decoding. The only issue with this box is that it can't play Dolby Atmos, DTS-X/MA, THX and Dolby TrueHD. You do, however, get DTS."
Sorry, my re-write should have said “THX or Dolby TrueHD.” instead of “THX and Dolby TrueHD.”
OK thanks I fixed it
In the review you use an image to Mecool-KM7-Android-TV-OS-launcher.jpg.
However, that is a screenshot of Android TV 10 while the KM7 is using Android TV 11.
That is the launcher of the KM7 straight up screenshot. Weather it is a custom launcher I am not sure.
Is it rooted..?
No it’s not rooted
