Video Playback
In YouTube, the Android TV version plays videos in 4K resolution with HDR. I performed a 4K HDR AV1 and Dolby Vision video playback test. The box plays HDR10, HLG, and AV1. However, Dolby Vision doesn’t trigger on my TV.
Surround Sound Audio
Connected to my 7.1 AV receiver, it plays:
- Dolby Atmos.
- Dolby Digital Plus.
- DTS HD-MA (produces DTS Neural X).
- Dolby surround.
Dolby TrueHD videos have no audio, and DTS X videos produce DTS Neural X.
Gaming Performance
The gaming performance is impressive. The CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz and Mali G31 GPU with Vulkan support allow high graphic settings. However, temperatures can rise into the 70s and 80s. It’s recommended to use a cooling fan to prevent overheating.
