BuzzTV X5 Live TV Android Box Review
There are many types of Android boxes that are basically performs the same function, but the BuzzTV X5 is different kind of TV Box. Where we have seen boxes designed for streaming from alternative sources such as the Kodi media player and streaming APKs, there are also boxes that are designed to stream live TV channels via Mac address or specialized apps. The BuzzTV X5 on the other hand is different in the box that performs all the features of your standard Android box and more.
This type of box also referred to as an OTT box comes with a specialized software designed for live TV and video on demand services. This is done by providing a platform that can host multiple live TV services using a central hub. It uses Mac address server ID, Xtreme codes API, and M3U playlist to access live TV and EPG guide. And under each method you can add multiple services and save your credentials.
However there is a contention between providing a live TV service and the quality of the hardware in the box used to deliver these services. We have seen boxes with a dedicated live TV services and the quality of the hardware is a very poor in relation to the price you want you to pay for it. With the BuzzTV a five you get the best of both worlds with a high quality hardware Android box together with the ability to use your favorite live streaming service.

Final Thoughts
In my opinion the BuzzTV X5 is a well thought out model taking into consideration the concerns of their users such as the quality of the hardware, its aluminum designed to reduce overheating, the performance of the hardware giving you value for money, and at the same time providing their premium feature which is their live TV hub interface.
As with the creation of all SOCs comes some challenges. The decision not to include a Netflix ESN could be a financial one, or could be an issue of not being able to meet the requirement, given that the box has already been Google certified with Widevine level I and HDCP 2.2 protection with other services can play in HD and 4K.
The exclusion of DTS HD decoders I’m not sure if that could be rectified in a firmware update or if it’s a limitation of the SOC.
The performance of its hardware with its CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz with 4GB of DDR4 RAM is outstanding, which saw it placed high among other S905X4 models on my rankings chart.
Buzztv X5 128 Al WAS pretty good until the firmware update at the end of March 2023. Now it is a mess, especially the out of control remote scrolling issues and un-pairing issues several times a day, but other issues like hanging, freezing up in the middle of trying to use the pvr. They need to roll back this POS update or put out some new thoroughly PRE-TESTED firmware to fix this massive mess.
