What Is the BuzzTV Classic AI?

The BuzzTV Classic AI is BuzzTV’s second release of 2026. It is their budget-friendly option in the lineup. Furthermore, it runs on Android 14 TV OS, which is the latest version available. It is powered by the Amlogic S905X5 chipset. Additionally, it ships with BuzzTV’s signature BuzzTV 6 launcher interface.

In contrast to BuzzTV’s G-Series, this model is not fully Google certified. However, that also means it is not restricted to Google TV OS. As a result, you get more freedom. You get full developer options access. And you get the complete BuzzTV 6 interface that cannot run on the G-Series.

BuzzTV 6 Launcher: The Main Attraction

This is where things get interesting. The BuzzTV Classic AI runs the full BuzzTV 6 launcher. Consequently, this is one of the biggest selling points of this device.

The standout feature is the live IPTV server hub. BuzzTV does not provide unauthorized content. Instead, their server hub is a platform for your own paid IPTV subscriptions. You register your service using the box’s server ID. Then your subscription activates directly on the device.

The platform supports multiple subscription methods. These include Mac address, Xtreme codes, and M3U playlist input. Moreover, once set up you can browse by category, use search, and access a full EPG guide. The remote also supports air mouse, backlight, voice search, and voice commands.

In addition, the launcher displays picture-in-picture of your last viewed channel while you navigate. This makes for a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Hardware Specifications

The BuzzTV Classic AI is powered by the Amlogic S905X5, a quad-core Cortex A510 processor clocked at 2.4 GHz. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The GPU is a Mali G310 single-core processor. It supports OpenGL ES 3.2 and Vulkan 1.3.

Display output reaches up to 4K 2160p at 60 Hz. Networking is excellent. The Wi-Fi adapter is a Wi-Fi 6 model supporting both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The LAN port is a full gigabit connection. Bluetooth is listed at version 5.0.

For security, the device carries Google Widevine Level 1 with HDCP 2.3 protection.

Furthermore, the device supports both AISR and AIPQ AI picture upscaling. In testing, upscaling 1080p content to 4K produced a clearly visible improvement in detail and sharpness.

Streaming Limitations

Despite Widevine Level 1 certification, there are streaming restrictions to be aware of. The device is not fully Google certified. Therefore, services like Netflix and Prime Video will not deliver HD or 4K quality. Netflix is restricted to 720p due to the absence of a valid ESN. YouTube, however, plays up to 4K with HDR without any issues.

Benchmark Performance

The BuzzTV Classic AI puts up solid numbers for a budget device. The Geekbench 5 CPU benchmark scored 203 single-core and 704 multicore. The 3DMark Wildlife GPU test produced a score of 1,253. The Antutu benchmark came in at 201,498, placing it at position 16 on the TVBoxStop ranking chart.

Storage speeds are also decent. Internal storage reads at 222 MB/s and writes at 84 MB/s. Networking reached the full 335 Mbps test ceiling on both 5 GHz Wi-Fi and gigabit LAN. The 2.4 GHz band averaged a strong 147 Mbps.

Idle operating temperature sits around 53°C, which is reasonable for this class of hardware.

Gaming on the BuzzTV Classic AI

The Mali G310 GPU combined with the 2.4 GHz S905X5 CPU delivers good gaming potential. Unfortunately, Android TV box gaming continues to be hampered by a limited Google Play Store and sideloaded APK compatibility issues. As a result, much of that hardware potential goes underutilised.

Final Verdict

The BuzzTV Classic AI is an excellent choice for IPTV users who want a dedicated and organised streaming platform. The BuzzTV 6 launcher and server hub feature are genuinely unique. No other box on the market offers this level of IPTV integration out of the box.

On the other hand, streaming service limitations and gaming restrictions hold it back slightly. Overall, this device earns a solid 3 out of 5 stars. For its price point and feature set, the BuzzTV Classic AI represents strong value in 2026.
