Magicsee N6 Max TV Box Review
So at last, finally, the Magicsee N6 Max TV Box is a box that’s worthy of claiming the title of the best TV box for 2018. Magicsee took many things into account when designing this one, and in this review you will see why I am making these bold statements about this. We have waited an entire year filled of RK3328 mid-range and low range boxes that were more of the same. The Magicsee N6 max is breath of fresh air for TV box hardware enthusiasts, and for the many critics who have been brutal in their negative comments.

Android OS and UI
The Magicsee N6 Max runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat, but I would have liked to see it run on Android Oreo. The launcher has a standard layout with large main buttons and a shortcuts bar at the bottom. The launcher comes with a navigation bar and status bar for multitasking, something I really like and comes in handy for users that prefer to use an air mouse or mini touchpad keyboards. The N6 Max is rooted, which means that you can install any app you like from the Google play store or via APK download without restrictions. Magicsee was also kind to pre-install all the needed to run a great TV box, and they also included some movie streaming apps for your enjoyment.

4K Video Playback and 3D Gaming
We have seen many TV boxes attempt to play my full list of 4K video samples at 60 fps and my difficult 4K jellyfish video at 400Mbps bit-rate, and most of them had issues in one video of the other. This was not the case with the Magicsee N6 Max. When I put to the test, the N6 max played all the 4K samples perfectly, even the jellyfish video.
When it came to 3D android games, the Magicsee N6 max performed like a beast. There was literally no Android game that this box couldn’t play. Gamespads, air mouse, and mini touchpad keyboards can all be used to play Android games. However, I couldn’t get my gamepad key mapping application to work.

Amazon Prime and Casting
The Magicsee N6 Max does not come with Amazon Prime pre-preinstalled, however, I was able to install it from the GooglePlay store and it works, see the new images below.
You Also have DTS audio passthrough via HDMI see images below. This box does not come with builtin Chromecast, however you do have DLNA and Airplay see new images below.
In my final analysts, I came to the conclusion that the Magicsee N6 max is the best Android TV box for 2018. The year is almost over, and the only way I am changing my position on this claim, is if another TV box presents itself before the end of the year and beats the performance of this box. But for now the title goes to the Magicsee N6 Max. The design speaks for itself, its high end performance in 4K videos and 3D games, its high benchmark scores, and its ability to maintain a stable heat level and utilize passive cooling for extra cool operation.
