Magicsee N6 Max Rockchip RK 3399 Hexa Core TV Box Best TV Box For 2018

Magicsee N6 Max TV Box Review

So at last, finally, the Magicsee N6 Max TV Box is a box that’s worthy of claiming the title of the best TV box for 2018. Magicsee took many things into account when designing this one, and in this review you will see why I am making these bold statements about this. We have waited an entire year filled of RK3328 mid-range and low range boxes that were more of the same. The Magicsee N6 max is breath of fresh air for TV box hardware enthusiasts, and for the many critics who have been brutal in their negative comments.

Android OS and UI

The Magicsee N6 Max runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat, but I would have liked to see it run on Android Oreo. The launcher has a standard layout with large main buttons and a shortcuts bar at the bottom. The launcher comes with a navigation bar and status bar for multitasking, something I really like and comes in handy for users that prefer to use an air mouse or mini touchpad keyboards. The N6 Max is rooted, which means that you can install any app you like from the Google play store or via APK download without restrictions. Magicsee was also kind to pre-install all the needed to run a great TV box, and they also included some movie streaming apps for your enjoyment.

4K Video Playback and 3D Gaming

We have seen many TV boxes attempt to play my full list of 4K video samples at 60 fps and my difficult 4K jellyfish video at 400Mbps bit-rate, and most of them had issues in one video of the other. This was not the case with the Magicsee N6 Max. When I put to the test, the N6 max played all the 4K samples perfectly, even the jellyfish video.

When it came to 3D android games, the Magicsee N6 max performed like a beast. There was literally no Android game that this box couldn’t play. Gamespads, air mouse, and mini touchpad keyboards can all be used to play Android games. However, I couldn’t get my gamepad key mapping application to work.

Amazon Prime and Casting

The Magicsee N6 Max does not come with Amazon Prime pre-preinstalled, however, I was able to install it from the GooglePlay store and it works, see the new images below.

You Also have DTS audio passthrough via HDMI see images below. This box does not come with builtin Chromecast, however you do have DLNA and Airplay see new images below.

Final Rating

In my final analysts, I came to the conclusion that the Magicsee N6 max is the best Android TV box for 2018. The year is almost over, and the only way I am changing my position on this claim, is if another TV box presents itself before the end of the year and beats the performance of this box. But for now the title goes to the Magicsee N6 Max. The design speaks for itself, its high end performance in 4K videos and 3D games, its high benchmark scores, and its ability to maintain a stable heat level and utilize passive cooling for extra cool operation.

    • You referred to keymapping .Is it a serious issue .which gamepad will u suggest for the games with touch buttons like god fire , modern combat or pubg which can work automatically in this box because if key mapping is not available. How can we play there games.
Secondly they have given and update.what is it for?

      • Rockchip boxes don’t support gamepad key-mapping. Game-pads do work, however as you may already know most Android games do not support gamepads, that’s why in a TV Box gamepad key-mapping is so important especially if you bought the box for gaming. I personally like the PXN line of gamepads the one I am currently using the PXN3 is no longer in stock, but the new model PXN 9606 Bluetooth Rechargeable Gamepad Controller it a good buy. It does not play touchscreen games by default, you will have to use a keymapping app like GKM touch

  2. This makes sense if a site is so badly hacked that Google does not want searchers to risk having their computers infected after visiting a compromised site. So Google delists these types of hacked sites from the index entirely. But obviously, when Google makes a mistake, it can have significant ramifications for the site affected.

  3. The N6 Max is a POS. Hardware may be potentially be all that it’s spruked up to be but the firmware is buggy, partly inoperable and overall deplorable. The N6 constantly locks up, won’t power up unless it’s power cycled, USB-C doesn’t work, PRIME won’t play, CEC is inoperable, the list goes on……..

Reviews such as this are blatant shills bought and paid for by the company because only a deranged idiot could possibly have a kind thing to say about the N6. I no longer use it and have gone back to my H96 pro.

I would not be surprised if this does not appear in your replies but the simple fact is that the N6 is a product that is simply not ready to market, if it ever will be.

    • Why would you be surprised? And by the way I paid for my own N6 MAX. There is nothing wrong with sharing your opinion I believe in what I say and you don’t, we agree to disagree and that’s that.

    • I can understand your frustration because I have gone through the same. Problem is with their workmanship.Their hardware configurations are perfect. But placement of it is the major cons of this product.USB TYPE C. is just a showpiece, firmware needs a lot of updates and upgrades, faulty hdmi cable,Defective power plug, heating issues r same as others [50-80].It cannot work without a passive cooling fan. I don’t think any TV box should be manufactured without installing a cooling fan and should be accompanied with qwerty keypad airmouse. No launcher works in this box.
