Ugoos UT8 Rockchip RK3568 TV Box Review

So at last Ugoos has decided to take a crack at the new Rockchip chipset in their latest TV Box release, called the Ugoos UT8 Rockchip RK3568 DDR4 Android 11 TV Box. After the near disastrous rollout of the RK3566 In 2021, lots of users were excited at the fact that we finally would start getting our boxes with 64bit support. While this was so, lots of developers had a hard time getting there firmware fully compatible with the SOC. This led to low traction in the TV Box market from models carrying the new Rockchip CPU.

However with TV Box pioneers such as Ugoos taking a shot at the latest chipset, it signals that Rockchip is on the verge of making a serious come back. Ugoos has done a stellar job in this latest model delivering all the bells and whistles for some of the hardest TV Box enthusiast. 64bit has made a huge difference in the performance and compatibility of this box, and has widened the scope of apps and games and other entertainment activities you can do on it.

In my assessment of this box Ugoos has made an assertive effort to iron out the kinks suffered in the previous release, fixing one of the major issues which was 4K resolution on US brand TVs. Besides the box featuring most of Ugoos’s premium features, it’s worth noting that under intensive activities such as 3D gaming this box has one of the coolest operating temperatures I have seen. Remaining stable without crossing 60°C. At last things are looking bright again for Rockchip in the TV Box arena.

Final Thoughts

So Ugoos did a fine job in this latest model, and it’s a testament to competence knowledge and professionalism of their staff. They are one of the few developers of Android boxes that ensure they tick off most of the requirements on their checklist of features needed to satisfy the purchasing public. 

Even though there were two issues highlighted in the video I am almost certain in a subsequent firmware update they will be fixed. I highly recommend this box as a great high performance 64bit, Android 11, Wi-Fi 6, DDR4, Dolby TrueHD, 4K at the 60hz TV Box to purchase.
