Zidoo Z9X Full Detailed Review – Netflix in HD 4K on Full Mobile Version Android

Zidoo Z9X TV Box Review

So this is the Ziddo Z9X Realtek RTD1619 hexa core TV box, and it’s causing quite a stir among the TV box and streaming community. As many speculate about the things it can do the developers of Ziddo have been busy, as the traffic on their forum have reflected. When the box was brought to my attention my focus was solely on checking out the performance of this new hexa core CPU the Realtek RTD 1619DR, because I have never done or review all benchmarks on this CPU before. But little did I know that I was in for a treat, as I soon discovered that Ziddo has implemented some really cool features in this model that enthusiast have been waiting for, for a long time. In this review there were times when my frustration reached the point where I was ready to label this box as a disappointment, but those frustrations were swept away quickly by the constant release of Ziddo’s firmware updates which were overwhelmingly impressive. In the end as much as I would like to label it as the best TV box for 2020, I would like to say that it is not. As it to has its little setbacks here and there, but rest assured from the rate at which Ziddo has been releasing these updates I’m sure that most if not all of the setbacks will be fixed in the near future.

Zidoo Z9X Pros and cons

Conclusion

So the Ziddo Z9X in my opinion with its Hexa-Core CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz produces a performance that equivalent to the Amlogic S905X3 chipset. The features in this box are truly impressive. Its interface ZIUI is filled with unique features never seen in other TV boxes before. For me, the sore point I had with this box is that I wished they had pushed the button and set the CPU clock speed as high as possible somewhere close to 1.8 to 1.9 GHz and include an internal cooling fan to quell the potential heat that the CPU may generate. This would have resulted in really high performance and benchmark scores in addition to these already amazing features. A nice addition would have been the inclusion of an air mouse feature in the remote with omni-directional Gyro capability. If they had done those things then the discussion could then begin around whether it can be compared to the Nvidia shield.

  1. This box looks very nice but along with the deficiencies you list, 2 gbs of RAM and 16 gbs of internal memory throws up a red flag. Ugoos boxes are much better and have higher benchmark test scores.
