The Tallest Gaming TV Box Ever – A95X Max+ TV Box S922X Hexa-Core CPU Review

A95X Max+ TV Box

The A95X Max+ TV Box is the first real attempt at developing a TV box to match the features and components of the Nvidia Shield TV. It’s no surprise they launched it ahead of the recent Shield grand release, but it’s different though not better than the Nvidia Shield in many ways.

  1. Hey friend
    Question your honest opinion
Do you think it worth the money with that three issue
Let me know if it ok I mean the wireless game controller does it work really good.
    God bless you my friend

    • I would wait for a response from the developers before making a decision. If LAN is what you use than that’s a problem. The WiFi works perfectly. The DRM support is an issue in most TV boxes but the 480p shows really clean, just due to copyright laws I cannot show any Netflix clips. The no screen rotation is not an issue, so it boils down to the LAN issue only.

    • Good day! Is there any big difference between the A95x max and A95x max+? I’m looking to buy one of them. Can you post if the problem of the ethernet can be solved somehow? I really don’t know what to choose… Did you try to use ssd or hdd for torrents? It’s working okay? Thanks a lot for your “work”!

      • There is big difference in performance. The MAX has quad-core 4X CPU, and the MAX+ has hexa-core CPU 6X (2 CPUs in one).
The max is more powerful and has better graphics performance and 4K video playback. It is also compatible with more apps than the MAX.
I would go with the MAX+

  2. I applied your coupon and the price drop to 150$. If I chose to pay with PayPal, the price will go even under 150$? Thanks a lot! I’m looking forward to see how you will solve the ethernet problem, and after that I will make the order. Have a nice day!

  3. Thanks for your excellent and comprehensive review. I’ve ordered this unit off the Gearbest website for $179 and it includes the bluetooth game pad. One thing I’ve learned with these android boxes is if you want them to last, always add a cooling fan to the bottom or top of the unit to push or suck the processor’s generated heat out of the box. Once you get constant processor heat output above 60 degrees celcius, the processors have a tendency to cook and your unit will eventually fail. Passive cooling just won’t cut it long term with these faster processors.

  4. Does this device still has Lan issue, is it safe to buy? I dont see any active forums like beelink GT King, so worried whether this bos may not get continued support from the manufacturer.

    • I just checked it again, and even did some changes to the LAN settings like in a previous video and the most I got from the LAN port was 28Mbps on a 100Mbps network.
