Beelink S1 Intel Quad Core Mini PC Review

Beelink S1 Review

What a way to start off the holiday season with a device like the Beelink S1 Intel quad core Windows 10 mini PC. Now this PC comes with all the bells and whistles in a mini PC and it also has specs to support it. In this review, I take a look at hard ware specs, benchmarks, IO ports, its Windows 10 environment, 4K video playback, gaming performance, and its overall user experience.

S1 Hardware

When you are a computer savvy individual you are always looking for devices with the best hardware and features for your dollar. Well in the Beelink S1 you are presented with some of the best micro form factor PC hardware money could buy. The Beelink S1 runs on an Intel Celeron N3450 quad core processor running up to 2.2GHz. Now in my review the system and hardware information software read the CPU clock speed at 1.1 GHz, and another software read it at 2.0GHz so I am not sure what’s causing the conflicting readings.

The GPU is the Intel HD graphics 500. The Intel HD graphics 500 N3450 supported is a quad core GPU and has a base clock of 200Mhz and a boost clock of 700MHz. This makes the Beelink S1 ideal to handle 4K video playback at 60fps, and well suited for playing small Windows store games, and games 3GB and under.

The PC starts to shine even more when it comes to memory and internal storage. The Beelink S1 packs 8GB of DDR3 RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Some might “only” but that’s not the all, the S1 has two levels of storage expansion. The first is a 2.5″ SATA hard drive bay located below the box, capable of using hard drives up to 2TB. The second expansion is an internal SSD M2 slot with a capacity of 512GB.

The Beelink S1 has 802.11 AC dual band 2.4Ghz + 5.8GHz WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0

Conclusion

Well I am actually very pleased with the performance and user experience of this device, I was impressed at the benchmarks, 4K video, playback, and even in the games. All that’s missing a Bluetooth air mouse as you have to use you own mouse and keyboard. Other than that the Beelink S1 Intel mini PC rocks!!!
